MARIETTA, Ga. - In a SSAC matchup on Lupo Family Field, the Life U men's soccer team used two first half goals to secure their win over highly rated #12 WIlliam Carey Friday evening.

Even though the Crusaders out shot Life U 7-6, the Running Eagles were able to dominate the first half starting with a goal in the 18' minute by freshman Ervin Sula. 20 minutes later Finn Seijsener found Thomas Rodella to put it past the William Carey goalie.

William Carey was unable to come away with a goal and Life U headed to the locker room for halftime leading 2-0.

Both teams fell scoreless in the second half allowing Life U to secure the 2-0 win over the #12 Crusaders.

"Great win and well deserved. We created many chances against a very good team," Head Coach Alex Pama said. "Our very young group is starting to understand the intricacies of collegiate soccer. We brought energy and at times good football. The team showed resilience and determination. Not even a missed PK had us worried. Tonight, we created enough to win the match. Now we prepare for Sunday against #3 Mobile.  We need all our fans again who were absolutely great tonight. A true 12th man who supported us to yet another memorable night at Lupo Family Field"

Up next, the Running Eagles return home to face #3 Mobile Sunday October 13 at 4 p.m.
