NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Life U volleyball team fell on the road in four sets Saturday afternoon to SSAC opponent Loyola University New Orleans.
After the Running Eagles pulled away in the first set and eked out a 25-22 win, the Wolf Pack rallied to win the next three sets to secure a 3-1 win.Â
Elisa Fries led the Running Eagles with 18 kills with a .455 hitting percentage, while Chloe Teter pitched in 12 kills.
Life U jumped out to an early lead in the first set with a 7-5 edge, but front here on out it was a battle to the end until the Running Eagles pulled away with a 25-22 win.Â
The second set was all Loyola with a 11-5 run to start the set. The Running Eagles were unable to overcome the deficit with the Wolf Pack going on a 6-0 run at the end of the set to rally back with a 25-15 win.Â
It was all Wolf Pack again in the third, leading for most of the set winning 25-21 to close the day out.Â
Up next, the Running Eagles will travel to Brewton-Parker College Wednesday at 6 p.m..
TURNING POINT:
- After it looked like momentum had swung Life U's way, the Wolf Pack turned it back, winning the next three sets for the win.Â
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Fries led the Running Eagles with 18 kills.
- Allie Adams and Fries both paced the team with 15 digs while Isabella Hanchi led with 22 assists.
