MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's volleyball team celebrated three seniors Saturday at their match against Faulkner before falling in three sets. 

In the opening set, it was clear the Eagles came ready to attack as Faulkner held an early lead 6-2 over the Running Eagles. Midway through the first, the match would pause as Life U recognized Imana Ellis for her 500th career kill before Life U would fall 25-19. 

In the second set, Life U would bring the momentum with Chloe Teter also earning her 500th career kill to bring Life U to an early 4-1 lead. The Running Eagles would go on to lead 13-9 before Faulkner would go on a 6-0 run to take a 15-13 lead going on to win the set 26-24. 

The third set was a battle between both teams until Faulkner would go on a 5-0 run at the end to win the set 25-23. 

Life U was led by Erica Irby who had nine kills and Gabriela Rivera who had 31 assists. 

Up next, the Running Eagles will host Point University  Wednesday at 6 pm in the Upper  Gym in SSAC play.
