MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Life U women's soccer was unable to overcome after an early goal from William Carey, falling 3-0 at the hands of the Crusaders on Thursday afternoon at the SSAC semifinals.  

Unfortunately, the Crusaders were able to stun the Running Eagles out of the gate, scoring in the 11th minute of play. Then, less than 19 minutes later, Crusaders were able to pour in another goal past the Life U defense. However, from there, the Running Eagles were able to hold off William Carey all the way through the rest of the first half. 

The second half saw William Carey attack again early, adding a third goal in the 46th minute. Unable to convert any of the looks they created, the Running Eagles fell 3-0, which will not allow them to move forward to the Championship Game Saturday after making it two years in a row. 

Up next, the Running Eagles will return home to Marietta in hopes of receiving a bid to the NAIA National Tournament in Pensacola, Fl.
