WALESKA, Ga. - The Life U women's basketball team was unable to overcome a fierce Reinhardt team in a 69-63 loss on Saturday afternoon in Waleska.

The Running Eagles took control of the contest with a 32-30 advantage in the second quarter but saw the Eagles push through at the end of the third quarter and never looked back. 

Despite the loss, senior Brionna Sims continued her dominant start in the paint, contributing 14 points, seven rebounds and four  assists. Kenya Robinson also added 13 points, four rebounds, and two blocks. Maikya Simmons was the third and final Running Eagle to reach double figures, scoring 10 points, five assists and four rebounds. 

The Running Eagles lead the entire first quarter going into the second leading 16-14. The second quarter ended similar to the first leading 32-30 going into the locker room at halftime.  

Leading by two at the break, the Eagles played the Running Eagles tough in the second half and eventually broke away to secure the close 69-63 win.

Up next, the Running Eagles will return home Tuesday night to take on Truett McConnell at 5:30 pm in the Eagles' Nest.
