Cleveland, Ga. - The Life U men's volleyball team traveled to Truett McConnell University in a AAC match-up on Tuesday evening. The Running Eagles ultimately swept the Bears 3-0 after a very consistent and resilient effort. 

David Barcan led the team with 14 kills and senior Jose Llaneza was also highly efficient, generating eight kills.

Alexis Prado led the team with 12 digs out of the 29 total while Carlos Pinto had 21 assists. 

The Bears took the first point in the first set, but a quick 4-0 run from the Running Eagles helped them take off. The first set was close but life picked up 3 points back-to-back to finish off the first set.

The second set was more dominant, as the Running Eagles picked up the first point and later on went on a 5-0 run and never looked back. Barcan added five impressive kills towards the end of the set making the Eagles go from 18 points to 22 before the team finished off the set 25-17.  

Truett McConnell provided some resistance early in the third, but once again, eventually the Running Eagles took control with a 9-2 run. Fittingly, it was Ethan Bustos' kill that closed out the festivities.

Up next, the Running Eagles will head to Campbellsville University for three match-ups against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) on Friday March 1 at 4.30 p.m, and University of Rio Grande (Ohio) and Campbellsville University (Ky.) on Saturday, March 2 at 12.20 p.m and 3.30 p.m.
