THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Life U women's basketball team bounced back on Saturday afternoon with a 70-58 victory over Thomas University.

The Running Eagles led most of the way with their largest lead being 14 points with 0:54 left in the fourth quarter. The Night Hawks led by four going into the second, but Life U finished the game strong to earn the win over Thomas.

Guard Maeisha Teasley came off the beach to lead the Running Eagles, with 17 points while adding five steals. Guard Andrea Martin Ruiz added 13 points and four steals, while Laphina Campbelll came off the bench and finished with 12 points and made 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Life U delivered strong team performances earning 23 points off of turnovers and delivering 34 points in the paint to come up with the victory.

Up next, the Running Eagles will return home, battling non-conference opponent SUNO Tuesday at 5 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

- Teasley continued her strong play throughout the game with 17 points to go with a team-high five steals. She has now scored in double figures 14 times this season.
