MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's lacrosse team earned its first conference win of the season Saturday with an impressive 18-7 defeat against St. Thomas University.
The first half was evening matched between both teams going into halftime tied at 5-5. Life U would come out in the third quarter and score eight goals leaving the Bobcats scoreless.
Annslee Warchol scored all three of her goals in that stretch as one of four Running Eagles to tack on three or more goals.
Alyssa Curto also scored five in the contest while adding on two assists for Life U.
To start the fourth quarter, Life U led 13-5 and would only surrender two goals in the final 15 minutes of play, outscoring the Bobcats 13-2 in the second half.
Ashley Hammel earned the win in goal surrendering the two goals in the game while playing the second half of the game while making five saves.
Up next, Life U competes at Warner University on Thursday at 4 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--Alyssa Curto led the way with five goals and two assists, as Lexi Santiago added on four.
--Nicole Ortiz and Annslee Warchol both added three goals with Ortiz adding on 4 assists.
--Leanne Windon dominated defensively with ten draw controls and five caused turnovers while Sainabou Foon had six caused turnovers too.
