BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Life U women's lacrosse team earned its third conference win of the season Saturday with an impressive 17-3 defeat of Webber International on the road. 

Life U jumped out in front early, but 30 seconds later Webber was able to put up a goal to start the game tied 1-1. Life U reacted quickly going on a 6-0 run in the first quarter. Nicole Ortiz scored three of her four goals in that stretch as one of three Running Eagles to tack on four goals. 

Alyssa Curto also scored four in the contest while adding one in the opening goal for Life U. Lexi Santiago also was able to add four goals in the back of the net with three of them being put on the board in the first half. 

At the half, Life U took the lead 11-1 and would only surrender two more goals in the final thirty minutes of play, outscoring the Warriors 6-2 in the second half. 

Ashley Hammel earned the win in goal surrendering one of the goals and making three saves in the game while Lilly Phillips entered and played the final 30 minutes of action making one save. 

Up next, Life U competes at home taking on Eastern Oregon University on Tuesday at Lupo Family Field at 3 p.m.

TURNING POINT:

--Life U allowed just one first half goal holding an 11-1 advantage at the break. 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

--Nicole Ortiz, Alyssa Curto and Lexi Santiago led the way with four goals each as Santiago added two assists and Curto added one.

--Leanne Windon and Sainabou both dominated on defense with Windon grabbing four draw controls and causing five turnovers, while Foon caused seven turnovers.
