MARIETTA, Ga. - Though Life U men's volleyball was able to take the Eagles to the brink in the second set and force extra points, the Running Eagles fell in straight sets at home Wednesday to Reinhardt 3-0. 

Life U jumped out to an early lead over the Eagles, but a 5-0 run put Reinhardt up 20-18 towards the end of the first set. The Running Eagles were able to keep up until RU forced extra points taking the first set 26-24. . 

The second set was a battle throughout, but Life U trailed 11-9 before both teams battled it out to the end to force extra points. Reinhardt pulled through with a 32-30 final before taking control in the third set to claim the match with a 25-18 decision in the third. 

David Barcan led Life U with 14 kills and also tallied 11 digs.  Jeremy Ferreira also added four blocks to the defensive end.

Up next, Life U will host Carolina University at home at noon on Saturday March 30 and Morehouse College at 4 pm for a tri-match in the Upper Gym.
