MARIETTA, Ga. -- Monday, Life University Athletics announced that, in partnership with Armor Mental Performance, student-athletes will have access to curriculum and training programs that are designed to develop mental discipline for their sport and life beyond the playing field. In service to the vision of Life University Athletics, which is to be a leading institution in performance and meaningful student-athlete experience, professional mental skills training will expand the resources available to student-athletes and coaches to help drive their success.
Director of Athletics Jayme Pendergast expressed her excitement, stating, "Mental skills training was a great resource addition for us and we've received such positive feedback after year one. We are excited to continue this with Armor Mental Performance and hope to see even more of our students benefit from this valuable resource. I'm such a big advocate for mental performance training and how it affects not only athletic performance, but our day-to-day growth as people and professionals. We try very hard to give our student-athletes access to resources that are meaningful to them and their success, and truly believe Armor Mental Performance will deliver in that way."
We are so excited to join forces with Life University to enhance the mental resilience and performance of their athletes," said Amanda Jones, Owner of Armor Mental Performance. "I coached against Life University when I was a college coach and I was always blown away with the commitment to excellence. Life U is a place that cares for its people and has incredible resources. This partnership aims to equip Life University with the mental fortitude and psychological skills necessary to thrive in the highly competitive world of college athletics. It will build on the already fantastic culture and mental toughness that currently exists".
