MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University men's soccer team earned a Senior Day win over the Barons of Brewton-Parker late Sunday afternoon. Life U dominated the game from start to finish, with freshman Andrei Apostu having four goals in the contest.

Andrei Apostu wasted no time opening the scoring. In the ninth minute of action, Manuel Carrillo played a long ball over the top to Apostu. Getting behind the defense, the freshman tapped home his first goal of the contest.

Nine minutes later, Enrico Lazzari made it 2-0 off a long throw into the box from William Galli. The long throw took one bounce in the box before being volleyed home by Lazzari.

Apostu added his second of the contest in the 35th minute off a corner kick from Kaito Nakayama. A low line drive to the front post found the Romanian's head to make it 3-0 Running Eagles. Apostu went on to complete a hat trick in the first half, scoring his third goal in the 43rd minute off an assist from Alvaro Hidalgo.

Leading 4-0 coming out of the half time break, Apostu continued to impress as the rising star scored his fourth goal of the contest in the 55th minute.

Though Brewton-Parker finally got on the board, late goals from Enrico Burigotto, Ervin Sula and Nakayama continued to increase the Running Eagles' lead. The score line finished at 8-1 after the final whistle signaled an end to the Senior Day contest.

"Always good to win on Senior Day," said Heah Coach Alex Pama. "We started slow which could be expected since the conditions were tough today for both teams. Warm temperatures and a game just 36 hours ago made it tough so we were glad we could go into the half with a four-goal margin and rest some of our starters. We are happy to start the week off with a solid win. Now we play three crucial matches so we have a short turn around before we go again this week."
