MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University men's rugby team rolled to a convincing 55–16 win over Ohio State on Saturday afternoon at Lupo Family Field, continuing its dominant fall campaign with another statement performance in D1A play.
The Running Eagles struck early with Douw Wessels opening the match in the 2nd minute, Successive tries from Adam Chadwick and Logan Ballinger then continued attack as Jonty Lee served kicking duties for the Life U attack. The momentum continued with tries from Bautista Araujo and Tristan Hubsch as the Running Eagles entered halftime firmly in control.
The second half brought more of the same. James Rose opened the scoring after the break, while Leo Venables added another just minutes later. Hubsch and Rose each found the try line again down the stretch to cap off a complete team performance.
Ohio State managed a few moments of success, including a pair of penalty goals and a late try from fullback Tommy Kilbane. Overall, the Buckeyes never threatened Life U's advantage.
