MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's basketball team hosted Keiser University in their first home game of the season and brushed past the Hawks 66-56 on Saturday afternoon.
Life U saw themselves trailing 8-3 at the start but eventually found their stride, clawing back to lead 11-10 at the end of the first quarter. The Running Eagles used a very efficient 2nd quarter to pull away from the Hawks to lead 34-27 at the Half.
Overall, ten different Running Eagles found points in the box score as 12 players saw action in the first game of the season. Only two Running Eagles were in double figures with 14 points from Aniyah Offutt and 11 points from Kenya Robinson. Junior Guard Myori Pruitt led The Running Eagles with five assists, while Kenya Robinson also led the squad with 11 rebounds.
After the half, Life U picked up where they left off, outscoring the Hawks 32-29 in the second half to pull out a hard-fought victory.
Up next, the Running Eagles will be back in the Eagles' Nest against Embry-Riddle University on November 5th at 5:30 pm.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
