Women’s Basketball Starts 2-0 with Second Straight Victory

MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University women's basketball team stayed unbeaten on Wednesday night, rolling past Embry-Riddle (AZ) 70–44 inside the Eagles' Nest. The victory marks Life U's second straight to open the 2025–26 campaign.

The Running Eagles jumped out to an early lead behind an aggressive defensive effort that forced six turnovers in the opening quarter. A balanced attack led to a 15–10 advantage after the first, with Kenya Robinson and Madison Carey combining for nine points in the frame.

The team then carried their momentum into the second quarter with a spark from the bench taking a 10–2 run midway through the period. A long-range Marrissah Tate three knocked down fueled the run while Malaysia Williams added a pair of strong baskets. Heading into the break, after holding the Eagles to just 26% shooting in the half, the Running Eagles led 32–22.

The third quarter proved decisive as the Running Eagles dominated on both ends, outscoring the visitors 29–13. Aniyah Offutt took control with nine of her team-high 13 points during the stretch, including a three-pointer and multiple steals that led to fast-break buckets. Carey and Robinson also added key scores in transition as Life U extended its lead to 26 by the end of the period.

With the outcome in hand, Life U cruised through the final quarter, maintaining its defensive intensity to secure the 70–44 victory.

— Life U exploded for 29 points in the third quarter while limiting Embry-Riddle to just 13, turning a 10-point halftime lead into a commanding advantage.
