MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University women's basketball team opened SSAC play with a strong showing Thursday night inside the Eagles' Nest, cruising past Point University 69–34. The win moves the Running Eagles to 5–1 on the season as they collect their first conference win of the year.

Life U jumped out to a 15–8 lead after the first period behind early threes from Emily Perez and heavy defensive pressure that forced nine turnovers. The Running Eagles kept their foot on the gas in the second quarter, outscoring Point 16–11 to take a 31–19 advantage into the break. Steady work inside from Kenya Robinson and perimeter scoring from Aniyah Offutt helped Life U stay in control.

The third quarter shifted the momentum even further. Life U posted 21 points—its best offensive stretch of the night—while continuing to pressure Point into mistakes. Offutt and Robinson combined for nine points in the period as the defense held the Skyhawks to just eight, giving the Running Eagles a 52–27 lead heading into the final period.
