MARIETTA, Ga. – The Life University women's basketball team put on a dominant performance Thursday night, securing a decisive 74-51 victory over Middle Georgia State at home.
Both teams started strong, exchanging baskets early. Life U held a slight 15-14 lead after the first quarter, thanks to a balanced offensive attack and solid rebounding. The Running Eagles found their rhythm in the second quarter, outscoring Middle Georgia 22-10 to take a 37-24 lead into halftime.
Kenya Robinson fueled the offense, finishing with 18 points on an efficient 8-9 shooting. Aniyah Offutt contributed across the board with 13 points, seven rebounds, and four steals, while Kaden McCorvey controlled the paint, adding 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
Life U extended its lead in the third quarter with another strong showing, pouring in 23 points while holding the Knights to just 14. The defensive intensity carried into the final frame, sealing the win despite a slowed offensive output in the closing minutes.
Middle Georgia struggled from the field, shooting just 30% overall and 15.8% from beyond the arc. ZaKyria Johnson led the Knights with 12 points, while Kyla Raven chipped in 11.
Brionna Sims provided key contributions off the bench for the Running Eagles, adding six points and steady play. Life U dominated in the paint, outscoring Middle Georgia 30-12 down low and winning the rebounding battle 41-25.
