GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Life University men's track and field team claimed the 2025 SSAC Indoor Championships title this past Saturday. The Running Eagles turned in 212 points with 9 Conference Championships and three runners-up. 
 
In the men's 400m dash, Daniel Williams claimed first place (47.41) early Friday afternoon, marking the first of many Conference Champions to come. Teammate Wiaan Martin claimed second in the event, turning in a time of 48.28. Williams went on to claim his second conference title late Friday afternoon, this time winning the 200m. His time of 21.11 set the new SSAC record at the meet.
 
Winston Sanders claimed first in the men's weight toss early Friday afternoon with his distance of 17.01m. His mark put him nearly two meters in front of teammate Darius Barge who placed second with a toss of 15.32m. Life U swept the podium in the event as Aidan Campbell claimed third (14.70m). 
 
Braden Deal earned a Conference Champion nod with his height of 1.98m in the men's high jump on Friday.
 
In the men's 800m, Gray McIntyre claimed first place, setting a new conference record with a time 1:54.02. Teammate Abedelemejid Kerebo placed third in the event, running a 1:58.27. McIntyre also went on to claim his second conference title, winning the men's 600m (1:18.23). Teammate Sean Hewitt finished just behind in third, turning in a 1:19.46.
 
Barge laid claim to the men's shot put title on Saturday, tossing a new conference record of 17.50m. Teammate Aubrey Warner placed third with a toss of 14.65m.
 
In the men's 60m hurdles, the Running Eagles claimed a pair of top spots as Caesare Giles Jr. turned in an 8.21 for the conference title. Teammate Daniel Persad finished just behind in second, running a 8.27. 
 
Life U took home the 4x400m relay title, as the team of Khalil Carr, Martin, McIntyre and Williams turned in a 3:14.29 first place time. They raced past the William Carey squad who finished two seconds behind.
 
Up next, the Running Eagles prepare to return to Gainesville for the NAIA Indoor Championship on Friday, February 28.
