Women's Rugby Crushes Charlotte RFC 110-0

02.17.25

MARIETTA, Ga. -- The Life University Women's Rugby team delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Charlotte RFC 110-0. Playing on their home turf, the team demonstrated their strength and adaptability, even as the wet conditions resulted in a few handling errors.

Despite the slippery field, Life U remained unfazed, turning opportunities into points with precision. Their commanding scoreline highlighted not only their attacking flair but also their rock-solid defense, effectively shutting out Charlotte.

Head Coach Ryszard Chadwick utilized the match to give several players crucial game time. "This was a good game to get several players involved," Chadwick stated. "Having a strong squad depth is important to our development as a team." He further emphasized, "The basic elements of our game need to be good in order for us to achieve our goals this season. It was good to get this win today and start moving forward."

The team launched their attack from the very start, showcasing seamless teamwork and sharp movements that Charlotte found difficult to counter.

In his post-match comments, Coach Chadwick stressed the importance of consistent performance: "We need to elevate our basic gameplay to reach our goals this season. Complacency isn't an option. Winning by such a margin isn't easy, so keeping our focus and standards high was key."

This victory underscores Life U's strong form, but Chadwick knows building off this level is crucial as they move forward.

Looking ahead, Life University faces the Harlequins in their next game on February 22nd, with the kickoff set for 7 PM at home. As they gear up for this encounter, the focus remains on maintaining momentum and striving for excellence.
