Life U Falls in Five-Set Battle Against Reinhardt

Score: Reinhardt 3, Life U 2

Record: Life U 5-8 (0-4), Reinhardt 10-2 (5-0)

WALESKA, Ga. – The Life U men's volleyball team put up a valiant effort on the road but fell in a grueling five-set match against conference rival Reinhardt (GA) on Friday afternoon. The Running Eagles took control early with two well-executed sets, but the Eagles mounted a comeback to take the next three and clinch the victory.

The match started with Life U playing at a high level, setting the tone with strong offensive execution. The first set saw standout performances from Serano Keijl and Jeremy Ferreira, who combined for several key kills. Setter Carlos Stadtlober facilitated the offense, helping the team hit at a solid percentage. Life U kept Reinhardt's defense on its heels and closed out the set 25-21.

The momentum carried into the second frame as the Running Eagles built an early lead, forcing Reinhardt to play from behind. Kantorowicz and Ferreira were active at the net, contributing critical kills. Despite the Eagles' late push, Life U stayed composed, securing a 25-22 win to go up 2-0.

In the third set, Reinhardt responded in the third set edging out a 25-22 win, shifting the momentum in their favor.

The fourth set saw Life U struggle offensively, hitting just .051 compared to Reinhardt's sharp offense. The Eagles controlled the tempo early and built a commanding lead. Despite a strong defensive effort from Alexis Prado, who tallied 13 digs, Life U couldn't generate enough offense to mount a comeback. Reinhardt dominated down the stretch and took the set 25-17, forcing a decisive fifth.

In the final set, both teams came out aggressive, but Reinhardt capitalized on crucial moments to gain a slight edge. The Running Eagles battled to stay in it, but Reinhardt sealed the match with a 15-8 win, completing the comeback.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

Serano Keijl led Life U with 18 kills, hitting an impressive .326, while adding nine digs and two service aces.
Carlos Stadtlober orchestrated the offense with 40 assists and contributed three service aces.
Jakub Kantorowicz provided 10 kills and four blocks, helping to keep Life U competitive at the net.
