SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Life University men's lacrosse team took down the Bees of SCAD on Saturday afternoon, rallying behind a strong fourth quarter performance. Jacob Long had a monster game on the offensive end, putting in six goals.

Christofer Tyson put Life U on the board just six seconds into the contest, scoring directly off his face-off win. After SCAD leveled the contest, Jacob Long was the next Running Eagles to find the back of the net. The home standing offense once again responded and added another with just five minutes left in the first period.

Trailing 3-2 heading into the second, Life U produced a big second quarter to take a commanding lead. A six-goal run from the Running Eagles that included a pair from Long, individual goals from Tristan Berry, Jared Cordova and Mackoy Bodmer, and a season-first from Harrison Hays launched Life U out to an 8-3 lead. The Bees put in a pair of goals before the half time horn but still trailed 8-5 heading into the break.

SCAD opened the third with two more goals to cut the deficit to just two. Though a Josh Bell goal disrupted the run, the Bees continued to fight their way back into the contest, eventually cutting the lead to just one with 01:48 left in the third period.

Long's fifth goal of the contest moved the lead back to two just 13 seconds into the final period. Off a man-up opportunity, Berry found Eric Manfredonia to stretch the lead to three. Long's sixth and final goal, combined with another goal from Bodmer, gave the Running Eagles a five-goal lead with 08:44 left in the contest. SCAD attempted a late rally, scoring the last two goals of the game, but came up short as Life U took home the 15-12 road win.

Up next, Life U returns home for Senior Day, taking on Keiser on Saturday, April 5.
