MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University men's lacrosse team fell to the Warriors of Webber International late Thursday night at home. The Warriors jumped out to an early lead and Life U was not able to fight back in the contest.

The Warriors opened the contest with an early goal but Jacob Long quickly answered back for the Running Eagles. However, things began to go downhill shortly after for the home standing defense as they went on to surrender the next four goals in the period.

Trailing 5-1 entering the second, the visitors added yet another goal before Eric Manfredonia finally stopped the bleeding. Jared Cordova added another shortly after Life U fought off a man-up opportunity on the defensive end. Manfredonia once again found the back of the net with 05:55 left to play in the second, cutting the deficit to just three. Momentum looked to be on the Running Eagles side, but Webber stole a last second goal in the half to carry an 8-4 lead into the third.

Out of the half, the Life U defense had no answer for the visitors offense as the Warriors posted eight goals in the third.

Trailing 14-5, Life U posted a strong final period, putting in four goals while allowing just one. The contest concluded 15-9 in favor of Webber.

Up next, Life U remains at home to take on Lawrence Tech (Mich.) on Saturday, March 8.
