MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University women's soccer team remained unbeaten with a commanding 22-0 victory over Abraham Baldwin on Saturday afternoon at Lupo Family Field in Southern States Athletic Conference play.
The Running Eagles set the tone immediately, as Helen Gutierrez opened the scoring just 55 seconds into the match. Life U added four more goals in the next 11 minutes from Phoenix Parks, Gutierrez, Ana Diaz, and Kayla McMillian to take a 5-0 lead before the 12th minute. Parks and Gutierrez each scored again midway through the half, while Sacha Millward and Odalis Tapia contributed two goals apiece. Freshman Cadence Moore capped the opening period with a strike in the 40th minute, giving Life U a 12-0 halftime advantage.
The second half followed the same pattern as the Running Eagles continued to rotate players and find the net. Caroline White, Ami Lewis, and Ella Nuzum each scored early in the half, with Moore collecting her second goal in the 57th minute. Embla Jonsdottir, Kaylane Lemos, Abigail Herron, and Sienna Strapp all added goals down the stretch, before Lemos tallied her second in the 85th minute and Naomi Calvillo closed the scoring in the 87th.
In total, 13 different Running Eagles scored on the day, with seven players recording multiple goals. Caroline White led all players with four assists, while Parks, Gutierrez, and Strapp each added multiple assists. Life U finished with 60 shots, 34 on goal, while Abraham Baldwin was held without a single attempt. Goalkeepers Elora Niederpruem, Justine Candel, and freshman Laila Wade shared time in net to combine for the clean sheet.
