MOBILE, Ala. — The Life University women's basketball team set the tone early and never looked back, defeating Mobile 72–59 on Saturday afternoon in Mobile, Alabama.

Life U exploded out of the gate, holding Mobile to just eight points in the opening quarter while building a 21–8 lead behind efficient shooting and strong interior play. The Running Eagles followed with an even stronger second quarter, shooting over 64 percent from the floor to take a commanding 46–22 advantage into halftime.

Aniyah Offutt and Madison Carey paced Life U offensively, each finishing with 16 points. Offutt was nearly flawless from the field, shooting 6-of-8 while adding four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Carey provided a spark off the bench, getting to the free-throw line consistently and knocking down 8-of-12 attempts.

Kenya Robinson and Khloe Vaughn each added 11 points for the Running Eagles, while Robinson also controlled the glass with eight rebounds. Life U dominated inside all afternoon, scoring 34 points in the paint and out rebounding Mobile 42–21.

Mobile showed resilience after the break, outscoring Life U 16–15 in the third quarter and putting together its best stretch in the fourth. Emilee Duet led Mobile with 13 points, including a strong fourth quarter, while Taylor Lee chipped in 10 points and Hannah Benoit added nine.

Despite Mobile's late push, the Running Eagles early lead proved too much to overcome. Life U built their largest advantage at 29 points midway through the third quarter and managed the game down the stretch to secure the road victory.

Life U finished the contest shooting an efficient 56.5 percent from the field, while Mobile struggled offensively, shooting 30 percent overall.
