MARIETTA, Ga. — Life U pulled off a thrilling 53–52 victory over No. 14 William Carey on Wednesday evening at home in the Eagles' Nest, edging out the Crusaders in a tightly contested conference match up that came down to the final moments.

The Running Eagles came out sharp in the opening quarter, shooting 60 percent from the floor to take a 20–16 lead after one. The Crusaders responded defensively in the second quarter, holding Life U to just 10 points, but the hosts maintained a narrow 30–24 advantage at half time.

The game turned into a back-and-forth battle in the second half. William Carey found its rhythm in the third quarter, outscoring Life U 14–13 to trim the deficit to five heading into the final period. The Crusaders continued their push in the fourth, using balanced scoring and timely stops to erase the gap and take a brief lead late.

The Running Eagles answered when it mattered most. Kenya Robinson delivered a strong all-around performance, including the game-winning bucket with 2:29 left in game action. Robinson led the team with 15 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out three assists.

Aniyah Offutt added 13 points and played a key role on both ends, while Madison Carey chipped in 10 points and five rebounds. Khloe Vaughn contributed seven points and three rebounds in the win.

William Carey was led by Shaneal Corpuz, who finished with a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds. Addyson Sherer added 24 points, and Leah Sutton came off the bench to score 14, keeping the Crusaders within striking distance all night.

Life U shot 44.4 percent from the field and controlled the paint, scoring 34 points inside. Despite William Carey holding a rebounding edge, the Running Eagles' defensive effort late and composure down the stretch proved decisive.

With the win, Life U handed William Carey just its second loss of the season and showcased its ability to execute in moments of pressure against a nationally ranked opponent.
