Men's Volleyball Earns Sweep over RV Cumberland (Tenn.)

MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University men's volleyball team turned in a complete performance Friday afternoon, sweeping RV Cumberland University (TN) in straight sets (25–15, 25–21, 25–21) inside the Upper Gym. The victory improved the Running Eagles to 2–2 overall.

Life U set the tone early and never looked back, delivering an efficient offensive showing in the opening frame. The Running Eagles hit .607 in the first set, recording 17 kills without an error. Serano Keijl and Charles Ewer paced the attack, while Riley Chapman orchestrated the offense as Life U pulled away to claim the set, 25–15.

Set two proved to be the most competitive of the match, featuring 13 ties and multiple momentum swings. Cumberland stayed within striking distance throughout, but the Running Eagles responded with timely scoring runs and strong play at the net. Life U finished the set on a late surge to take a 25–21 advantage and move ahead two sets to none.

In the third, Life U leaned on its defense and blocking to close out the sweep. The Running Eagles recorded five blocks in the frame, stalling Cumberland's attack as the visitors attempted to extend the match. Life U remained composed down the stretch, sealing the victory with another 25–21 decision.
