MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — The Life University women's basketball team dropped a 73–59 road decision to Brewton-Parker Saturday afternoon in SSAC action.

Brewton-Parker established control early, setting the tone in the opening quarter by limiting Life U's offensive rhythm and capitalizing on its own opportunities. The Running Eagles struggled to generate consistent looks, while the Barons built momentum and opened a 19–10 advantage after the first 10 minutes.

Life U responded with improved defensive structure in the second quarter, working to slow Brewton-Parker's pace and settle into the half-court offense. Despite the adjustment, the Barons continued to dictate play and maintained separation on the scoreboard, carrying a 33–21 lead into halftime.

The third quarter marked Life U's most productive offensive stretch of the afternoon. The Running Eagles played with increased urgency, pushing tempo and attacking more decisively. Brewton-Parker answered each surge, however, matching Life's scoring output and preventing any sustained run. The Barons extended their advantage to 59–38 entering the final period.

Life U closed the game with its strongest effort in the fourth quarter, outscoring Brewton-Parker over the final 10 minutes while tightening up defensively. The late push narrowed the margin, but the deficit built over the first three quarters proved too much to overcome as the Barons secured the 73–59 victory.

The Running Eagles will look to carry the fourth-quarter momentum forward as SSAC play continues in their next outing.
