CLEVELAND, Ga. – The Life University women's lacrosse team opened the 2026 season with a resounding win on the road over the Bears of Truett McConnell on Wednesday night. The contest was all Running Eagles as returner Roxie Beasley led all scorers with seven goals and eight points.

Life U wasted no time jumping out in front as Roxie Beasley, Tori Wolf and Jazzlynn Hollerbach all found the back of the net multiple times in the first period. The defensive allowed just two shots to the home standing Bears while the offense racked up eight total goals in the first frame.

By the 12:15 mark of the second period, Hollerbach and Beasley each had already recorded a hat trick as Life U claimed a 10-0 lead, initiating a running clock.

The lead grew to 11 before Truett McConnell finally found its first goal, but Life U quickly answered back with a pair of its own. Though the Bears did find a second goal late in the half, the Running Eagles boasted a 13-2 lead at the break.

Beasley came out of the half time break on fire, recording three-straight unassisted goals to give her six in the contest. On cruise control, Life U took a 17-3 lead late in the third period before adding six more goals in the final frame. The defense once again locked down TMU, allowing just two shots in the last period, capping off a dominant 23-4 season-opening win on the road.
