MARIETTA, Ga. – The Life University women's lacrosse team fell on the road to NCAA Division III opponent Rhodes College on Sunday afternoon. The Lynx dominated the contest from the opening quarter as the Running Eagles struggled to get back in to the contest.
Both squads traded goals in the early minutes as newcomer Tori Wolf got Life U on the board. However, following Wolf's goal, Rhodes went on to score six-straight unanswered goals to close out the first period of action.
Trailing 7-1 heading into the second, Life U continued to struggle to slow down the Lynx. The home squad added two more goals to total an 8-0 run before Wolf finally brought the run to an end. At half time, the Running Eagles trailed 10-2.
The third period belong to Rhodes as the Lynx out scored Life U 6-0. Sainabou Foon and Wolf added goals in the fourth period as the contest closed 19-4 in favor of the Lynx.
