MARIETTA, Ga. – The Life University women's lacrosse team fell in a close battle to the Eagles of Reinhardt on Saturday afternoon. The contest was close the entire time, with neither team having more than a three-goal advantage at any point during the game.
Samantha O'Hanlon wasted no time kicking off the goal scoring, finding the back of the net within the first minute to put Life U up early. The visiting Eagles responded with a pair of its own just minutes apart to take a 2-1 lead. Sydney Matesevac equalized the contest midway through the first as the contest headed to the second period locked at 2-2.
Life U reclaimed the lead early in the second behind a Tori Wolf goal on a free-position opportunity. However, the Reinhardt offense found its rhythm late, adding three goals to just one from Life U as the visitors carried a narrow 5-4 lead into the half time break.
