BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Life University men's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance Saturday morning, sweeping Bluefield (VA) in straight sets (25–16, 25–13, 25–17) at the AAC Conference Pod inside The Dome.
The Running Eagles controlled the match from start to finish, turning in one of their most efficient offensive outings of the season. Life hit an impressive .526 as a team while holding Bluefield to a .197 clip, never allowing the Rams to establish momentum.
Life set the tone early in the opening frame, using a balanced attack and strong play at the net to create separation. The Running Eagles totaled 15 kills in the set and pulled away late for a 25–16 win.
The second set proved to be the most dominant of the match, as Life overwhelmed Bluefield with relentless offensive pressure. The Running Eagles hit a blistering .650 with 14 kills and just one error, racing out to an early lead and cruising to a 25–13 victory.
Bluefield showed brief resistance in the third, but Life quickly responded behind timely kills and a strong run from the service line. The Running Eagles created distance midway through the set before closing things out comfortably, 25–17, to complete the sweep.
