ELKHART, Ind. — The Life University women's swim team traveled to Elkhart, Ind. for the 2025-26 NAIA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships with the action covering four days. The team placed 16th overall, recording a total of 31 points at the meet.
DAY 1:
Kyleigh Shonk, Petra Beky, Kendall Ashburn and Nikita Snoeren opened the meet in the 200 yard medley relay for the Running Eagles. The group swam a combined time of 1:48.58, earning a fourteenth-place finish in the event. The same squad then took on the 800 free relay, turning in a final time of 8:03.90 for a fourteenth-place finish again.
DAY 2:
Petra Beky competed in the first individual event of the week for Life U, swimming a personal best 2:13.97 in the 200 IM prelims. Her time earned her a 32nd-place finish. Teammates Kendall Ashburn, Nikita Snoeren and Kyleigh Shonk followed in the 50 free prelims as Ashburn swam a personal best 24.46. The time earned Ashburn a 26th-place finish while Snoeren placed 42nd with a time of 24.95 and Shonk placed 51st (25.50).
In the 200 free relay finals, Ashburn, Snoeren, Shonk and Beky teamed up to turn in a time of 1:40.28, placing fourteenth in the event.
DAY 3:
Petra Beky and Kendall Ashburn kicked off the third day of action for Life U in the 400 IM prelims. Beky continued her stellar weekend, swimming a personal-best 4:44.30 (21st place) while Ashburn turned in a season-best time of 4:47.40 for a 25th place finish.
Nikita Snoeren and Kyleigh Shonk followed in the 100 back prelims shortly after with Snoeren placing 24th (59.78) and Shonk placing 32nd (1:03.43).
Wrapping up the third day of action, Snoeren, Beky, Ashburn and Shonk teamed up for the 400 medley relay and placed 14th (4:00.87).
DAY 4:
Nikita Snoeren led off the final day of action in the 100 free, turning in a time of 54.75 for a 36th-place finish. Teammate Petra Beky followed in 200 breast with a personal-best time of 2:25.33, qualifying for the final heats. Once in the finals, Beky swam another new personal-best, this time turning in a 2:23.47 and taking home 12th place.
Kendall Ashburn closed out the prelims with a time of 2:14.72 in the 200 fly for 26th place.
Closing out the meet, Snoeren, Beky, Ashburn and Shonk teamed up one more time, this time for the 400 free relay. The team turned in a 3:39.67, placing 15th to conclude the meet.
