MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's flag football team picked up two SUN Conference wins on Thursday and Friday, taking down the Skyhawks of Point and Barons of Brewton-Parker. On Thursday, Life U dominated the Skyhawks, holding the home team scoreless until the fourth quarter. On Friday, the Running Eagles dominated both sides of the ball for all four quarters.

Game 1 - Life U vs Point - W, 26-5

Life U opened the scoring early in the first quarter, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. The defense played extremely well, forcing multiple three-and-outs in the first quarter. Battling through the second quarter, Cheyenne Brooks struck late, putting the Running Eagles up 12-0 just before the half time break.

The third quarter saw zero scores as both defenses found their rhythm. In the fourth, Life U created separation with a pair of touchdowns while Point finally got on the board. Cheyenne Brooks finished 16-28 with 205 yards and a pair of touchdown passes. Brooks and Dechea Branham both got it done on the ground, adding a touchdown a piece. Elora Niederpruem led the receiving core with 95 yards and a touchdown. On the defensive end, Laila Wade and Makayla Morgan each had an interception while Uzzhia Rumph had eight tackles.

Game 2 - Life U vs Brewton-Parker - W, 45-0

The Running Eagles dominated the action from start to finish. Cheyenne Brooks opened the contest on fire, finding Elora Niederpruem for back-to-back strikes on the first two drives of the contest. The duo did not stop there, linking up for a third time, making it 20-0 at the end of the first quarter. As the defense continued to force punts out of the Baron offense, Brooks once put up points on the offensive end. Life U carried a 26-0 lead into the break behind four touchdown passes from Brooks.

It took just two plays for Life U to score out of the break. After a long pass to Niederpruem, Brooks connected with Altierra Gooch for a 26-yard strike, marking her fifth touchdown of the game. Adding a sixth touchdown pass later in the quarter, the Running Eagles held a dominant 39-0 lead heading into the final quarter.

The final points of the contest came from the Life U defense as Oumy Gaye took an interception 30 yards to the house, making it 45-0 in favor of the Running Eagles.
