Men's Lacrosse Falls in AAC Action at SCAD

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Life University men's lacrosse team fell on the road in AAC action to the Bees of SCAD on Thursday night. The home squad dominated the opening quarter and never looked back.

It was a tough start for the Running Eagles on the road. The Bees opened the contest hot on both ends of the field, scoring five goals in the first period while holding Life U scoreless on the offensive end. SCAD held a large advantage in shots in the opening frame, 16-6.

Trailing 5-0 to start the second, Life U battled hard to find an avenue back into the contest. SCAD pushed the lead to 6-0 before the Running Eagles answered with three-straight goals. Tristan Berry found the back of the net unassisted to get his team on the board before Evan Sengstock found Erik Fornek for a second strike. Alex McGuire then followed with a third goal with just under two minutes left in the half, cutting the deficit in half before SCAD added a goal in the final seconds of the half.

Sengstock opened the scoring in the second half but the Bees responded with a trifecta of goals, taking a 10-4 advantage. Berry connected with Sengstock for the final goal of the third as Life U found itself down 10-5 heading into the final 15.

In the last frame, the home squad outscored the Running Eagles 3-2 despite goals from Fornek and Sengstock, taking the 13-7 win.
