MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's volleyball team earned an emotional 3-1 SSAC win over Tennessee Southern Friday night after honoring Head Coach Carlos Soler pregame with a video tribute and a presentation of canvases to Carlos' immediate family.

With the win, the Running Eagles now move to 6-0 in conference play, set for an exciting top-seeded matchup against Blue Mountain tomorrow, October 7th.
All in all, Life totaled 50 kills to the Firehawks' 29 as Fayola Louis led all competitors with 15 kills. Naomi Eckert Rivera had another stellar match, earning 41 assists as the Running Eagles had 14 members of the squad find court time.
Lela Parker added ten more kills in the contest, impressively leading the team with a .500 attack percentage.
The Firehawks controlled the match in the early stages with a 25-21 win in the opening frame, but after that, the Running Eagles gained momentum and held UT Southern to just 14 in the second set. The third set was Life's all the way, winning the frame 25-18.
In the fourth set, the Running Eagles once again dominated rushing ahead to a 21-8 scoreline before closing it out with a convincing 25-15 win.
