Head coach Ashley Flavin spoke with FloWrestling post-game, stating, "Putting aside wins and losses, I think the way that we competed was so exciting... our freshman class coming in was aggressive and ready to go. Everybody locally really came out. Georgia wrestling came out to support us. We had a bunch of different teams that were here, and, as always, our administration was here."
"We are very happy with the way that our athletes competed. This is just the beginning and things look exciting as we build to the rest of the year."
