Track & Field Competes at Emory Dooley Elite

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Life University Track and Field team returned to Emory University for the Emory Dooley Elite 2025 meet this past weekend. In addition to the multiple NAIA A and B Standard performances, the Running Eagles' Briana Campbell stole the show, running two different NAIA Outdoor Season best times.

Campbell won the women's 100m hurdles while posting a lightning-fast 13.25 at the meet. The time not only marks an A-Standard, but is also the fastest time run in the NAIA thus far this season. She did not stop there, winning the women's 100m dash with a time of 11.49. The automatic qualifier time is also the fastest time in the NAIA thus far in the season. Teammate Cameron Kelperis finished fifth (12.13) while Zaria Bonafede placed seventh (12.46) in the 100m hurdles.

Daniel Williams once again impressed, running an automatic qualifying time in the men's 200m. His event winning time of 20.82 is the fifth fastest in the NAIA thus far this season. Teammate Marvin Jean-Francois was close behind in second place with a 21.14 B-Standard time.

Emeline Delaville won the women's 400m in a tight race. Her time of 55.08 is an A-Standard time. Teammate Najah Gibson ran a B-Standard time of 56.53 in third while Dagbjort Magnusdottir placed sixth (58.77).

In the men's 400m hurdles, Sean Hewitt claimed the event win with a B-Standard time of 53.68. Teammate Alejandro Ramos placed eighth in the event (57.02).

Making strides every week, Cameron Kelperis recorded an automatic qualifier height of 4.00m in the women's pole vault.

Continuing his brilliant form, Darius Barge tossed an automatic qualifying distance of 17.46m in the men's shot put while winning the event. He also posted a B-Standard distance in the men's discus, winning that event as well. Geovanni Hawes placed second behind him in the shot put (14.61m) while earning third in the discus (46.53m). Winston Sanders finished second in the men's discus (47.06m).

In the women's 400m hurdles, Laisha Hernandez placed second with a time of 1:06.38.

Tobiloba Oniyide won the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.59. Jean-Francois was directly behind in second (10.64) while Samuel Piquant finished third (10.66).  In the men's 200m, Oniyide placed fourth (21.78), Piquant placed sixth (21.96), Dave placed eighth (22.10) and Tilman Jedlitschka placed ninth (22.10).

Diamond Atkins had a great meet, recording a pair of top-ten finishes. In the women's shot put, she placed fifth with a best toss of 11.47m. In the women's hammer, she also placed fifth with a distance of 43.03m. Teammate Katelyn Mendoza placed eight (38.78m).

Drew Pochylko placed third in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 15.44.

The relay team of Kelperis, Campbell, Bonafede and Gibson placed second with a B-Standard time of 3:54.35 in the women's 4x100m relay. 

Magnusdottir, Delaville, Hernandez and Gibson combined for a B-Standard time in the 4x400m relay (3:54.35) while winning the event.

Braden Deal earned a third place finish in men's high jump with a height of 1.93m while a height of 1.88m earned Zvinodaishe Bere a sixth place finish. 

Khalil Carr jumped 6.45m in the men's long jump (sixth) while Kenadie Stinson finished ninth (6.07m).

Aidan Campbell finished second in the men's hammer toss with a throw of 46.75m while Sanders placed fourth (46.07m).
