Box Score

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Life University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 3-ranked Keiser University Saturday afternoon, unable to overcome an early deficit despite a strong second-half push.

It took just 13 seconds for Keiser to strike first, setting the tone for a dominant first period. The Seahawks poured in six goals before Life U finally answered in the closing minutes, with Kathryn Moody scoring off a feed from Roxie Beasley. From the start, the Running Eagles struggled to slow down the Keiser attack, trailing 6-1 after the first quarter.

Life U then responded in the second, with Nicole Ortiz and Moody finding the back of the net in quick succession. A power-play goal from Lexi Santiago, assisted by Alyssa Curto, cut the deficit to just three. Curto then scored minutes later, but Keiser closed the half strong, scoring three late goals to take an 11-5 lead into the break.

Out of halftime, the Running Eagles refused to go away. Mia DiCono struck first in the third period, followed by another goal from Moody on another power play. Ortiz and Curto each added another goal, keeping Life U within reach as they entered the final quarter trailing 13-9.

The fourth quarter saw Keiser lock down defensively, keeping Life U off the board for the remainder of the contest. The Seahawks added two more insurance goals to seal the 15-9 win, preventing any late-game rally from the Running Eagles.
