MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University men's volleyball team battled on day two of the AAC pod but ultimately fell to St. Thomas (FL) in straight sets, 3–0, inside the Upper Gym.
St. Thomas set the tone early, using efficient offense to take control of the opening set. The Bobcats capitalized on key runs and limited errors to secure a 25–18 win and grab the early advantage.
The second set saw Life U respond with improved play, keeping things tight through much of the frame. The Running Eagles traded points and stayed within striking distance, but St. Thomas executed late to pull away and take a 25–21 victory, moving ahead 2–0 in the match.
In the third, Life U continued to compete and looked to extend the match. The Running Eagles battled through several long rallies and stayed within reach, but the Bobcats maintained their rhythm and closed out the set 25–20 to complete the sweep.
St. Thomas finished the match with 43 kills on a .275 hitting percentage, while Life U totaled 34 kills, 28 digs, and six team blocks.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
— Serano Keijl led Life U with 11 kills and six digs.
— Aurélien Lavarini added nine kills and five digs.
— Jakub Kantorowicz contributed six kills and three digs.
— Riley Chapman recorded 27 assists and added five digs.
— Nazmi Bayoglu led the back row with eight digs.
